After 40 years of economic liberalization in China, the first generation of entrepreneurs is starting to hand down the family companies they have built up. Given this demand, the Swiss expertise in successional arrangements and cross-generational family asset management is becoming increasingly important. On the occasion of the China study trip of Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and Art ZHAW, Dr. Markus Brown, Head of ZHAW’s International Business at the Department of Banking and Finance, will explore the potentials for an exchange of this expertise at a panel discussion with three other specialists. They are: Prof. He Ziyun, with University of International Business and Economics’ School of Finance, Prof. Chen Zhuo of Tsinghua University’s PBC School of Finance, and Ms. Nathalie Li of Credit Suisse. In their presentations and discussions, the four experts will link the European ideas of wealth management and succession planning with the situations faced in China, and the opportunities new technologies can offer in the future.
